CycleUp Textiles shortlisted for RDS award

We have some very exciting news!
CycleUp is delighted to have been shortlisted for the RDS Sustainability awards in the Rural Social Impact category. To have come this far as a social enterprise that has been built up from an idea by our volunteers about textile waste to an ever growing enterprise, we never forget that we are positively impacting not only on the environment but creating a safe space for the women in Rural Roscommon to join together, no matter what their background, to do good in and for the community together. For this to be recognised by the RDS feels fantastic for all of us and we can’t wait to show what amazing bags and gifts can be produced by our multi-talented team of upcyclers in the RDS in May.

As one of the newest members of the CycleUp team I am in awe of the talent, resilience and work that goes in to making this happen from the Roscommon Women’s Network – RWN charity shop, training centre and the CycleUp team and am proud to be a small part of it.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the journey and to those who are now, you are all amazing and this is well deserved recognition you have all earned. Congratulations!
